Actun Tunichil Muknal which meaning is “cave of the stone sepulcher” is also well known as ATM cave and is located in the heart of the Tapir Mountain Nature reserve at 45 minutes drive from San Ignacio Town in Cayo District. It is one of the most impressive caves in the Maya Lowland.

Tour Description:

We will transfer you from either the airport or your hotel in Belize City to Pooks Hill Lodge property. This is the nearest hotel from the amazing Actun Tunichil Mucknal Cave. Early in the morning on second day, your adventure starts hiking up to the entrance of the cave, you will need to cross a river three times. At the entrance of the cave you will be provided with the necessary equipment and your guide will give you the basic information and instructions. Inside the cave some swimming and climbing will be necessary.
