Mountain Pine Ridge 1 day Tour
The Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve is about two and a half hours southwest of Belize City and consists of beautiful, unspoiled mountain landscapes, which are complemented by rivers, waterfalls and caves. The area also hosts beautiful flora and fauna. The Reserve is the only natural pine forest in all of Central America and the largest and oldest of Belize's parklands.
Tour Description
In the morning our guide will pick you up at your hotel and transfer you to the forest reserve of Mountain Pine Ridge. Our tour includes a visit of the RioFrioCave, Rio On Pool, 1,000 Foot Falls and BigRockFalls.
RioFrioCave is located at less than one mile from Pine Forest Headquarters. Stepping-stones lead inside to the most easily accessible of all of Belize's river caves.
Rio On Pool is a continuous series of pools formed by large granite boulders. Small waterfalls connect some of the pools and the smooth surface of the boulders makes natural water slides and a great place for a swim or to hike.
1,000 Foot Fall is believed to be the highest waterfall in Central America.
Big RockFalls is somewhat off the beaten path. To get there, one needs a guide that knows the way. At BigRocksFalls, you can contemplate nature, hike downstream or go swimming at the falls.
